Recently, Stanford University released the World's Top 2% scientists 2020 list, and a number of our scholars have been included in the list.
The list is divided into two lists, the "Career Impact List" (1960-2019) and the "2019 Scientific Impact List". It was published by the team of Professor John P.A. Ioannidis of Stanford University and the Mendeley Data Group of Elsevier. The lists are based on the Scopus database and six indicators, including citation count, H-factor and HM-factor. They select the top 2% of the world's scientists from 22 fields and 176 sub-fields, among nearly 7 million scientists. A total of 5272 scientists from China were selected.
Six of our scholars - Han Xu, Ma Guowei, Tang Chengchun, Yin Fuxing, Zhang Zonghua and Tang Yu - were selected for both the "Career Impact List" and the "2019 Science Impact List".
Sixteen of our scholars, including Lu Zhiwei, Shen Boxiong, Yuan Wenjing, Zhang Yongguang, Liu Guodong, Jiang Yanjun, Tian Jiayu, Wei Jie, Gao Jing, Zhou Yatong, Zhang Xiaoming, Gao Shanshan, Zhang Yiming, Yang Qingxin, Luan Nannan and Liu Xu, were named to the "2019 Scientific Influence List".
In the "2020 Global Top 2% Scientists List", our scholars were selected in the fields of mechanical engineering and transportation, geology and mapping tools, applied physics, materials science, optoelectronics and photonics, and electrical and electronic engineering, etc. Their research in their respective fields is already at the world's leading level and has a high international influence.
