On the morning of September 10, Zheng Yuanchang, secretary of the Party Committee of the National Research Centre for Rehabilitation Technical Aids, and Yang Kaiyu, Deputy Director of the Centre, came to the university for a research and discussion session. Li Qiang, secretary of the Party Committee of the University, and Hu Ning and Ma Guowei, Vice Presidents of the University, attended the seminar. Attenders also included other representatives from The Institute of Science and Technology, Technology Transfer Center, faculty of Mechanical Engineering and other relevant institutions.
On behalf of the university, Li Qiang welcomed the arrival of the delegation from the National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids and expressed his appreciation for the support given by the National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids to the construction of the Engineering Research Centre of the Ministry of Education for Intelligent Rehabilitation Devices and Testing Technologies. He briefly introduced the basic situation and discipline composition of the university. He pointed out that the university attaches great importance to the development of the field of life and health, and actively promotes the construction of the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Centre for Intelligent Rehabilitation Devices and Testing Technology of the university, and hopes that the National Rehabilitation Centre will continue to give support as a co-construction unit. He said that Hebei University of Technology is willing to work with the National Rehabilitation Centre to build a new pattern of scientific and technological innovation development and promote the integrated problem of the innovation chain, industry chain, talent chain and service chain of China's assistive rehabilitation assistive devices industry.
On behalf of the National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids, Zheng Yuanchang expressed his gratitude to the university for its long-term cooperation and talent dispatch. He highlighted the basic situation of the National Rehabilitation Centre, its special advantages and the role it should play in coping with an ageing society and maintaining national health, and expressed his willingness to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with our university in terms of scientific and technological development planning, social contribution, industrialization of achievements and talent training.
Guo Shijie, who is the Director of the Engineering Research Centre of the Ministry of Education for Intelligent Rehabilitation Devices and Testing Technologies, introduced the construction of the Engineering Research Centre. They had extensive exchanges and reached a number of cooperate intentions in the areas of scientific and technological research and development, social contribution and talent training.
On the afternoon of September 10, Guo Shijie accompanied Zheng Yuanchang and his delegation to visit the University History Hall, the laboratory of the Engineering Research Centre of the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Intelligent Medical and Nursing Equipment of HEBUT. They had an in-depth discussion on the bottlenecks problem of industrialization and joint research for the industrialisation of rehabilitation and nursing intelligent equipment.
