On July 8, professor Tan Runhua, the former Vice President of our university and the honorary director of the National Engineering Research Center for Technological Innovation Methods and Tools, received the congratulations from the first Vice President and secretary general of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Ivanitzkoya and academician Gu Jing on his election as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Kuznetsov Oleg Leonidovich, dean of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, and Ivanitzkoya, first deputy dean and secretary-general, jointly issued the academician election certificate and academician work certificate.

Professor Tan Runhua obtained undergraduate and master's diplomas from Hebei Institute of Technology in 1982 and 1984 respectively, and obtained a doctorate in engineering from Zhejiang University in 1998. As a well-known expert and academic leader in the field of TRIZ in my country, professor Tan Runhua has made outstanding academic contributions and innovative practices. In 2011, the team he led was rated as the executive outstanding team on the "Eleventh Five-Year" National Science and Technology Plan. In 2012, he won the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement Award. In 2016, he was awarded the Altshuller Medal which is the highest award in the world TRIZ field.
The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences is the largest scientific organization in Russia which is recognized by the United Nations. Its members are scientists and experts who have made major achievements in the fields of natural sciences and humanities, and have important academic influence. The Academy has 24 faculties, including 18 Nobel Prize winners, more than 270 academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and more than 30 academicians of the Russian National Academy of Medical Sciences. Foreign academicians come from 48 countries around the world, including many Chinese scientists.
