RESEARCH INTERESTS
1) Utilization of chemical resources in seawater/brine: Extraction potassium, lithium and bromine etc. from seawater/brine with adsorption or membrane separation technology; phase equilibrium associated with inorganic salts.

2) Water treatment: Removal of ammonium, heavy metals and other containments with sorbents such as zeolite and carbon materials or with membrane separation technology like ED, NF and biotechnology.

3) Functional materials for ion exchange and adsorption: Synthesis and modification of zeolites, preparation of adsorbent like ionic sieves.
