The president of St. Cloud State University in USA Professor Earl H. Potter III (Earl H. Potter III), the provost and vice president Professor Richard Green and the former director for foreign affairs Professor Roland Fisher visited our university. The president Zhan Yong Professor and the vice president Liu Bing Professor cordially met the guests in the conference room of Round City.
During the talks, the two sides briefly reviewed the cooperation process and exchanged views on the cooperation prospect in depth. The President Zhan Yong expressed that they shall seize the cooperation opportunities so as to jointly promote the process of internationalization of the two universities. The President Earl H. Potter III thanked the President Zhan Yong for the warm reception and welcomed our Vice President Tan Runhua and delegation to visit St. Cloud State University in the early of December. He briefly introduced the learning situations of the students of both accounting and MBA straight entrance project in America. Then, the Vice President Liu Bing and the Vice President Richard Green discussed on the related contents in the cooperation agreement of the undergraduate exchange scholarship program in depth and hoped for the future cooperation and exchange.
After the talks, the President Zhan Yong and the President Earl H. Potter III renewed a memorandum for cooperation of the two universities and also signed a cooperation agreement of undergraduate exchange scholarship program. After the signing, the two presidents exchanged gifts and took a group photo.
During the visit of the delegation, the related responsible persons of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange and the Institute of International Education also accompanied the guests to visit our history museum. The President Earl H. Potter III wrote good wishes for the common development of the two universities on the guestbook.
St. Cloud State University is the comprehensive university with a long standing reputation in Minnesota of America, founded in 1869, having history more than 140 years. The University is located in the suburb of St. Cloud City of Minnesota, having an area of 102 acres, and provided with College of Business, College of Education, College of Humanities and Arts, Science and Engineering Institute, Academy of Social Sciences, Graduate School, Continuing Education Center and International Student Center. At present, the University is the second biggest state university in Minnesota.
