HEBUT Is to hold the 2nd International Conference on 3D Concrete Printing

From November 26th to 28th, Prof. Ma Guowei, vice president of HEBUT and dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, took a delegation to Swinburne University of Technology in Australia to attend the first International Conference on 3D Concrete Printing. 3D Construction Printing is a rapidly emerging research field that promises to be automated in construction. The conference covered 3D architectural printing in materials, technology, design and management, providing an international platform for academic and technical exchanges for relevant researchers. More than 150 representatives from nearly 20 countries including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Singapore, Germany, New Zealand, India, South Korea and Japan attended the conference.

 

 

Prof. Ma made a keynote report entitled Strength and Ductility Enhancement of 3D printing cementitious material on the conference, showing the scientific achievements of HEBUT in intelligent construction and high-performance cement-based materials. And, in recognition of the remarkable progress made by Professor Ma's team in the research and application of key technologies of 3D concrete printing, Professor Jay Sanjayan, President of the Conference and Professor Behrokh Khoshnevis from University of Southern California, USA, inventor of 3DcP, awarded the team the Award for the Outstanding Filed Application of 3D Concrete Printing. After the meeting, HEBUT won the right to hold the 2nd International Conference on 3D Concrete Printing (3DcP-2019). Pof. Ma invited the experts and scholars to attend the conference which will be held at HEBUT in October 2019. This conference helps to improve HEBUT’s international reputation and boost scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges with countries around the world.
