On October 27, a 7-member delegation from Curtin University of Australia headed by vice presidents Seth Kunin and Brett Kirk visited HEBUT. Prof. Li Yantao and Prof. Ma Guowei, vice presidents of HEBUT, received the delegation. The heads of the School of Civil Engineering and the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation attended the meeting.

In Prof. Li’s remarks, HEBUT and Curtin University have a similar disciplinary structure, which sets a sound basis for win-win cooperation in degree programs, academic research and joint cultivation of students.

Prof. Seth Kunin said that Curtin University, similar to HEBUT, is a research university featuring engineering. He hoped that their visit would promote further cooperation in the disciplines concerned.

Prof. Ma made a brief introduction to the School of Civil Engineering and affirmed to build a HEBUT-Curtin Research Center of Intelligent Infrastructure based on the previous negotiations.

Both sides exchanged views on cooperative double-degree programs, doctoral programs, short-term students & faculty exchanges and application to China Scholarship Council for the approval of Outstanding Undergraduate Exchange Program.
