Professor Charles Wang, Director of Chinese Initiatives, University of Arizona, visited HEBUT

Professor Charles Wang, Director of Chinese Initiatives, University of Arizona, a professor from the Law School (UA), visited HEBUT on September 5th . He visited the Institute of Microelectronics, State Key Laboratory of the School of Electrical Engineering and the History Museum of HEBUT respectively. Li Qiang, Party Secretary of HEBUT, and Li Yantao, vice president of HEBUT, met with Prof. Wang. Liu Boying, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center, also attended the meeting.

As a UA representative to pay a return visit to HEBUT, Prof. Wang focused on the follow-up issues of the memorandum signed between the two parties during President Han Xu’s visit to the UA. Secretary Li hopes that cooperative education will broaden the scope of HEBUT faculty in the field of teaching and scientific research, improve the teaching management and research quality as well as the cultivation of international talents, thus making greater contribution to the development of regional economy. Director Liu reported on the achievement made by President Han in his visit to the UA.

Prof. Wang outlined the ongoing international projects of the UA, and expected to establish new degree programs based on similar predominant disciplines at the two universities. He also stresses that the UA is strongly interested in the cooperation with HEBUT and believes that two universities will make more achievements under the signed memorandum of comprehensive and strategic cooperation.
