Multifunctional Air Purifying Membrane Developed by Biophysics Institute of HEBUT Passed CMA

Recently, the first generation of multifunctional purifying membrane developed by Biophysics Institute of HEBUT has successfully passed China Metrology Accreditation(CMA) of Environmental Monitoring Center of Hebei Province, and the multifunctional purifying membrane has a good effect on the removal of PM2.5 particles. Monitoring data shows that the removal rate of bacterial microbes is up to 91.3%-95.2% after installing multifunctional purifying membrane, and the removal efficiency of PM2.5 particles in enclosed spaces is 78.7%-83.9% .

The air purifying membrane is developed according to the fact that polymer composites have a strong interaction with PM2.5 particles by which the harmful substances like bacteria and fungus will be efficiently killed in light condition. Compared with most air purifiers in the market, this air purifying membrane has advantages in many aspects like efficient adsorption of harmful materials, effective removal of PM2.5 particles in enclosed spaces, high antibacterial effect, and no secondary pollution. The transformation and application of this achievement will have significant effect on the improvement of indoor air quality.

China Metrology Accreditation(CMA) is a product quality testing institution which provides notarization data for society, and its testing results have legal effect.
