Workshop on Life Sciences and Related Physical Aspects Held at HEBUT
On March 4th and 5th, a workshop on life sciences and related physical aspects was held at Institute of Biophysics, School of Sciences, HEBUT.
At the invitation of Prof. Zhan Yong, director of the Institute of Biophysics, eight scholars, including an academician, several Changjiang scholars and winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, gave reports on the frontier issues and highlighted their comments and outlooks. Academician Chen Runsheng specifically gave a talk on "Big Data and Precision Medicine". During the workshop, the experts also visited the Greenhouse Laboratory of the Research Center for Radiation Biotechnology and made academic exchanges with the faculty and students of the Institute of Biophysics.
At the opening ceremony, Prof. Zhan Yong introduced the history, achievements and future development of biophysical discipline at HEBUT. Prof. Han Xu, acting president of HEBUT, introduced the university to the audience and demonstrated HEBUT’s strong involvement in National “Double First-rate” Program.
