The Research Center for Beijng-Tianjin-Hebei Development Selected as First Batch of CTTI Source Think Tanks
On December 17th, the 2016 China Think Tank Governance Forum was held at Nanjing University, where China's first think tank vertical search engine and data management platform—China Think Tank Index (CTTI) was released. The Research Center for Beijng-Tianjin-Hebei Development of HEBUT has been successfully selected as the first batch of CTTI source think tanks and it ranks the fourth in the comprehensive ranking of Think Tanks at Project 211-based higher Institutions, according to the MRPA Evaluation Report.
Since its establishment in 2012, the center has adhered to the policy of “giving priority to the service for economic development in Hebei-Tianjin area and the Bohai-rim Region, radiating the whole country actively, and providing intellectual support for the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region”. Relying on HEBUT’s geographical advantage, it has integrated related talent and intellectual resources both inside and outside the university and finally formed an effective research team. The center offers consultation services for the government at all levels in terms of policy decision-making: counseling, academic exchange, talent cultivation and scientific research, and it has achieved a number of high-quality findings, which will make due contribution to the regional social-economic development
CTTI aims at providing real and high-quality think-tank information and rigorous expert information to Party and government departments, academia, media and the public, thus adopting the reliable data warehouse concept in locating data source. Professor LI Gang, chief expert in the Center for Chinese Think Tank Studies and Evaluation of Nanjing University, released the MRPA Evaluation Report of CTTI source think tank. The assessment as the third party has made process & result-oriented evaluations on the Think Tank institution’s capability and effectiveness in using resources and contains three subsystems—Think Tank Ranking, Expert Ranking and University Think Tank Index Ranking.
