Professor Zhou serves as the dean of Department of Communication Engineering. He is now leading the research direction of information sensing and machine learning in HEBUT. As PI or Co-PI, he has obtained more than 20 research grants from the national and provincial academy or companies. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed journal papers. He has more than 10 authorized patents and more than 20 software copyright procedures.

Professor Zhou has guided more than 30 graduate students since 2008. He has won the honorary title "Supervisor of Outstanding Master Thesis in HEBUT" and "Instructor of Outstanding Undergraduate Graduation Thesis in HEBUT" many times. The graduated postgraduates under his supervision were employed in domestic and foreign famous companies, research institutes or universities. And all juniors participated in his research group after graduation went to prestigious universities in USA for further study.

Professor Zhou has visited the University of Texas at Austin (UT), Stanford, Wake Forest University, and so on in recent years. And he maintains academic exchanges and cooperation with dozens of universities or institutions in USA, such as Department of Statistical Science, Cornell University, and National Center for Computational Sciences, Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Moreover, in order to further strengthen Sino-Foreign educational exchange, he is going to recruit some international students to pursuit for doctoral degree.

(1) A PhD position starting from September 2017 is available at Prof. Zhou Yatong research group for major in Electronic Science & Technology, HEBUT, China, with full scholarship support during four-year academic period. Prof. Zhou is looking for a highly motivated and diligent international PhD student with Bachelor or Master (preferred) degree in EE or CS or related fields to conduct research on the above topics and exciting projects in his research group.

(2) A postdoctoral fellow position starting from September 2017 is available for international scholars who must be a PhD degree’s holder under the age of 40.
